Latest Site News
Here is a summary of most of the site progress:
- May 14, 2005. Began site design. Mostly graphics and styles.
- May 16, 2005. Created index page, began work on side menu, created several title images,
and tested counter script.
- May 17, 2005. Finished menu, added more CSS styles, and added page footer.
- May 18, 2005. Added random country display, created random picture+description on right side,
added date display script, and created feedback form.
- May 19, 2005. Edited title image some, started creating officer profile pictures, added a
script to format the date, fixed an email bug with feedback form, and created the page
What is ISU?.
- May 22, 2005. Created the page ISU Listserv, created basic
temporary profile pictures for 2005/2006 officers, created the page 2005
Officers, and changed the tab styles.
- May 24, 2005. Created the Contact,
Legal, and Privacy pages.
- June 4, 2005. Created the ISU Survey for information
about the International Orientation each semester and how to improve them.
- June 6, 2005. Changed the site style some, mostly the colors of the foreground and
background to make the text easier to read as suggested by Diana Truta (thanks ^^).
- June 7, 2005. Added pictures to numerous pages, added more country flags
and statistics, updated the country statistics to Spring 2005, added more random pictures
data for the right side of pages, and uploaded more pictures.
- June 8, 2005. Created the Contact ISU
page.
- June 14, 2005. Added pictures to most of the pages.
- June 15, 2005. Created the ISU Guestbook pages, one for
viewing the guestbook, and one for adding
a guestbook entry. Created the Hits page, that shows how many
views each page has had and from which country. Created the
Thanks page, to thank those who have helped out with ISU a lot.
Added about 40 interesting facts about several countries to appear on the left side, with
a lot more to be added later.
- June 28, 2005. Created the 2004/2005 Officers
page, but not uploaded the pictures yet. Created the Countries
and Visa Types pages to display statistics about the number of
international students here at NKU, along with which countries they come from and the
types of Visas used. Created the International
Recipes page to display recipes from around the world. Updated the Site Map and
loaded more pictures for the pages.
- July 5, 2005. Started working on the script to display the picture pages,
modified version of previous script so that it loads custom preview images automatically
(to speed up page loading time and give the page a more uniformed appearance). Created
the basic picture pages, but for now they just contain links to the pages with the pictures.
Eventually they will be spruced up with preview pictures, descriptions, ect.
- July 8, 2005. Added 8 new random pictures plus descriptions for the right side.
Tweaked some of the descriptions for the event pages.
- July 19, 2005. Changed the homepage some, added the new possible ISU logo
design.
- July 20, 2009. Added the Officers page from 2006 to 2009.
- July 22, 2009. Added a logo for the address bar with the current ISU logo and also added it to the main page.
- july 23, 2009.Added news and also updated the officers' information and also uploaded a few profile pictures for the officers.
