Slightly larger than Colorado, Burkina Faso, formerly known as Upper Volta, is a landlocked country in West Africa. The cuisine of Burkina Faso, typically of west African cuisine, is based around staple foods of sorghum, millet, rice, maize, peanuts, potatoes, beans, yams and okra.

Every year, the ISU and ISA host International Week, which is a week of many events to bring a lot of the cultures of the world to students at NKU. Latino Day featured Salsa dancing lessons, lots of great Latino music, authentic snacks and foods from various countries, jewelry, and a lot more.
