 Burkina Faso Capital: Ouagadougou Slightly larger than Colorado, Burkina Faso, formerly known as Upper Volta, is a landlocked country in West Africa. The cuisine of Burkina Faso, typically of west African cuisine, is based around staple foods of sorghum, millet, rice, maize, peanuts, potatoes, beans, yams and okra. NKU currently has 2 students from Burkina Faso (Spring 2008). Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in Western Africa.
